DESCRIPTION
-----------
Use WKSW to install a system-wide hotkey, which allows you
to power down your system within a few seconds.
This is especially useful in those cases, where reaching
for the power button or shutting down using the slow,
conventional way would cause more trouble... ;-)

HOW TO INSTALL
--------------
(1) Copy config.bat, wksw.dll, wksw32.dll and wksw64.dll
to any directory on your local drive you prefer, and
    have full access to.

(2) Run config.bat to launch the extender (configuration).
From there, specify the hot-key you'd like and press
"Install" to load it to memory.
Until WKSW is uninstalled, it will be present every
    time your system is re-booted.
To uninstall WKSW, just click again on "Uninstall".

(3) Close the configurator.

TROUBLESHOOTING
---------------
If the extender doesn't allow you to install the hotkey,
make sure you've specified a valid key combination first.
Allowed  key-combos  conform to the  Windows hotkey style;
i.e. Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F12, etc.

Observe the status messages in the interface: should any
of them turn red, try re-running Config.bat with elevated
privileges (try right clicking -> Run as administrator).
If that won't help, it means that a special group policy
is likely to exist. Please consult this with your system's
administrator, for more information.

WARNING!
--------
When your predefined keystroke is detected by WKSW, your
machine will be powered down within seconds without prior
warnings. All unsaved data WILL be lost. Use with caution!

Do not use WKSW as a replacement for the classic system
shutdown, as WKSW does not ask your operating system's
threads and processes to quit gracefully.

Failure to adhere to this warning may cause instability
of your system or data corruption, or both.

DISCLAIMER
----------
These DLLs are provided "as-is" without any warranty or
liability for any incidental or non-incidental damages
on your computer. If it catches fire as a result, do not
blame me - it is not my fault you've used my applications.

The time it takes to shutdown your computer using WKSW is
variable for every machine, but the average is between two
to five seconds since your keystroke has been detected.
