MediaEspresso Settings

Select > Settings (or when converting media) at any time to configure the settings for CyberLink MediaEspresso. In this window you can configure the settings as follows:

Performance

Performance

Maximum concurrent file conversions: to set the number of media files the program can covert at one time, select the maximum in from the drop-down menu. CyberLink MediaEspresso can convert up to four media files at a time.
Enable hardware encoding: select this option if your computer supports Intel Quick Sync Video, NVIDIA CUDA, or AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing technology to use hardware acceleration to encode video during the conversion process.
Enable hardware decoding: select this option if your computer supports Intel Quick Sync Video, NVIDIA CUDA, or AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing technology to use hardware acceleration to decode video during the conversion process.

Note: it is recommended that you use the default settings for GPU acceleration, as set after CyberLink MediaEspresso scans your system configuration to suggest maximum performance.

Profile* (Intel Quick Sync Video only)

Faster conversion: select this option to convert media faster, at the expense of outputted media with a slight loss in quality.
Balanced: select this option if you want a balance between faster conversion speed and better quality media files.
Better quality: select this option to get a better quality media file output, at the expense of a slower conversion speed.

Note: * this feature is only available for computers with Intel Quick Sync Video technology (SandyBridge platform).

Video Sizing

Don't enlarge file size when converting to a smaller resolution: select this option to ensure the converted file size does not exceed the original file size. This setting is applied if you convert a video file using a profile with a video resolution that is smaller than the original file's resolution.

Video

Video quality enhancement

Enable CyberLink TrueTheater AutoLight: select this option to improve the overall lighting in converted videos.
Enable CyberLink TrueTheater Denoise: select this option improve overall video quality by removing unwanted noise from converted videos.
Enable CyberLink TrueTheater HD: select this option to up scale converted video to a higher resolution version, which is sharper and artifact-free. TrueTheater HD is capable of boosting 480p video to 1080p.

General

UI language: to change the language of the CyberLink MediaEspresso UI, select the desired from the drop-down menu.
Save media to: click on to set the output folder for the media you convert.
