When you connect a portable device to your computer, the MediaEspresso Gadget will quickly convert and transfer any media you drag and drop on to it to the attached portable device.
To convert and transfer media to portable devices using the MediaEspresso Gadget, do this:
| 1. | Connect the device you want to convert and transfer the media to. |

Note: media files that you previously converted, but did not transfer to the connected device, are displayed in the MediaEspresso Gadget and will also be transferred to the device.

| 3. | Click on  to configure the conversion settings for your portable device as follows: |

Note: you only need to configure the conversion settings for your device once. The MediaEspresso Gadget remembers your settings and uses them every time you connect your device to convert media.

| • | Video: select the video profile you want to use when converting videos for the attached portable device. Select Smart Fit if you want CyberLink MediaEspresso to automatically select the best format and resolution for you based on the source video. Select More... if you want to use another available profile. Set the video's format, aspect ratio, and audio format using the profile options available. The formats and options that are available is dependent on the device model you select. |
| • | Music*: select the music profile you want to use when converting music files for your portable device from the drop-down. Select More... if you want to use another available profile. Set the audio's format, sampling rate, and bitrate using the profile options available. |
| • | Photo*: select the photo profile you want to use when converting images for your portable device from the drop-down. Select More... if you want to use another available profile. Set the photo's format and resolution using the profile options available. |
| • | Convert selected video files to audio files: select this option if you want to extract a video file's audio and output it as an audio file*. The MediaEspresso Gadget creates the audio based on the profile specified in the Music drop-down menu. |
| 4. | If required, select from the available conversion settings. See Conversion Settings for more information. |
| 5. | Click on OK to close the Settings window and save your changes. |
| 6. | Drag and drop the media you want to convert and transfer to the attached portable device onto the MediaEspresso Gadget. The MediaEspresso Gadget converts the media and then automatically transfers it to the connect device (or imports into iTunes) if the option is selected in Settings. |

Note: * this feature is not available in some versions of CyberLink MediaEspresso.
